Halfway Energy Park is a proposed solar and battery energy storage project located in the Carse of Gowrie. If consented, the project will have a generating capacity of up to 500MW producing enough clean electricity to provide just under 5% of Scotland’s non-domestic energy use per year.*
The project would support the UK’s energy goals by increasing renewable generation, improving energy security and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. The project is expected to be operation for 40 years before being decommissioned and the land restored.
Aukera will be updating this website in the coming weeks with further information on how local residents and business can participate in the public consultation events planned for later in the year.
*Based on 4.67% of 12.9 TWh

Aukera is a renewable energy IPP operating across the UK and Europe. We specialise in utility-scale solar, onshore wind, and battery storage, and are actively involved at every stage of the project lifecycle.
With 58.4MWp of renewable energy infrastructure already operational in the UK and a further 295.5MWp under construction, we are building a significant and growing presence with 60% of the pipeline located in Scotland.
Our team works from offices in London and Edinburgh, combining national reach with local expertise.
Beyond the UK, Aukera maintains an active development portfolio across Italy, Belgium, Germany, and Romania. Responsible development and genuine community engagement sit at the heart of everything we do, as we continue to invest in projects that support a sustainable, low-carbon energy future.
